I would like to extend my thanks to the Town of Kingston, which has been so incredibly supportive of this project. Debbie and Sue, at the Recreation Department, and the Recreation Committee, have all been AMAZING! I also want to extend sincere thanks to Bill Fuller and The Bartending Service of New England, who have graciously agreed to provide a beer and wine cash bar at both performances. As well as the other businesses that have helped to make this happen. The Law Office of Adam Bond, Middleboro Glass, Pachinis Pizza, Gregory Scot Jewelers, Charles David Salon & Spa, Rachel's Hair Expressions, Plymouth Fitness, and Dillon's Local.
Our goal is to cover the production costs ahead of opening, so that all of the ticket and raffle monies will go to the named charities. The cost of this production is about $3500. Yes, theatre is expensive to produce, even when it is a tiny, local production. So, we plan to cover our costs through sponsors in our program. As I have said, one of my goals is to share some of the information that I have learned about breast cancer. The show program will be filled with facts about breast cancer. If we can get 17 facts sponsored, we will cover the costs. Also, we will have two gift baskets at each performance, for a total of 4 baskets. Two wine baskets (Shirley dreams of "drinking a glass of wine in a country where the grape is grown"), and two "wellness baskets." These should be filled with items that feed the soul, delight the heart, stimulate the mind, and embrace the self. If you are interested in becoming a sponsor, here are the options:
LEVEL 1: Sponsor a breast cancer fact - $200. We will list your name or business card on the same page as a fact about breast cancer. LEVEL 2: Sponsor a personal page - $150. Send a message of encouragement to someone fighting breast cancer or remember a loved one. LEVEL 3: Sponsor an inspirational quote - $100. These are messages of positivity. You will be thanked and listed with the other inspiration donors. LEVEL 4: Donate goods or services that can be included in the wine or wellness gift baskets.
If you are interested in a sponsorship, please contact Victoria at ShirleyValentine2019@gmail.com or call me at 508-369-7284. If you would simply like to make a donation, please make checks payable to Rogue Theatre Company, a 501(c)3, and mail them to 1 N. Main St, Middleboro, MA, 02346. Please write, Shirley Valentine, in the memo field.
